FAQs
Do you have public liability insurance?
Unlike booking through some other platforms, all of our chefs are covered on any job by our public liability insurance.
This means that if there were any unexpected incidents, there would be legal cover in place.
Do we all have to have the same dish?
We normally have a fixed menu for all guests other than any dietary intolerances or food allergies, this allows us to make sure the food is cooked properly and served sufficiently hot with the facilities we have available. We will try our best to accommodate, however cannot guarantee different dishes.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
In order to secure your booking, we will ask you to make a deposit of up to 20%, refundable if cancelled before an agreed time period, normally 14 days before the event date.
How far in advance should I book your services?
It's recommended to book at least two weeks in advance, especially for larger events or during peak seasons. However, feel free to reach out even if you have a shorter timeline, and we will do our best to accommodate your request and recommend somebody else.
Can I request a specific dish or menu?
Absolutely! Client satisfaction is one of our key objectives, so having a menu that works for you is crucial!

Can you provide waiting staff?
We normally don't provide any front of house staff, however feel free to discuss with us and we can arrange with enough notice.
What forms of payment do you accept?
All payments should be made by BACS as detailed in any invoices sent to you and in line with the payment terms expresses.
Details about payment options & details will be provided during the booking process.
Credit/debit card payments can be accepted IF arranged up front, this will incur a 3.25% fee to cover processing costs with the merchants fee.
What is the pricing structure for your services?
Pricing varies depending on the services requested, menu complexity, and the number of guests. After our initial consultation, I will provide you with a customized quote tailored to your specific needs.
Isn't hiring a private chef expensive?
Hiring a private chef can often work out cheaper than dining out once you factor in travel costs, childcare and split the bill between your guest.s.
Do you provide cutlery & crockery?
As a standard, we will normally use the cutlery/crockery available at the venue. If there isn't sufficient crockery available, we are able to hire with sufficient notice, which will incur an additional fee.
Do you travel to client locations?
Yes. We love all of the UK and are always happy to travel to guests & new locations and have a growing network of partner chefs in different areas. If you're outside the UK, please contact us to discuss further.
Do you handle grocery shopping and ingredient sourcing?
Yes, I take care of all the grocery shopping and ingredient procurement for your chosen menu. We strive to use the freshest, highest-quality ingredients to create exceptional dishes from restaurant & hotel suppliers.
